Does Global Warming Occur Without Man?

Image
By Richard Chapo Global warming is perpetually in the news these days. While everyone is aware of pollution problems, did you know a certain amount of global warming occurs as part of the biomass? Does Global Warming Occur Without Man Most discussions about global warming center around the impact man has on his environment. Massive emissions of carbon dioxide by industry and transport are the prime culprits evidenced in this regard. While global warming in and of itself is a controversial subject, what is clear is that it is not only a phenomena caused by mankind. I f man did not exist on Planet Earth, global warming would exist to a certain extent. The Earth is kept warm by gases in the atmosphere. Certain gases prohibit heat from escaping out of the atmosphere into space. This is a naturally occurring event with gases such as carbon dioxide and methane, not to mention water vapor, playing a natural role in the process. If our atmosphere contained none of these gases, our planet would...

Methane and Potential Impacts on Global Warming

Image
By Richard Chapo Methane is a gas found on most planets with atmospheres . In limited amounts, it isn’t a particularly problematic gas. In larger amounts, however, it can become a regulator of atmosphere temperatures. Methane and Potential Impacts on Global Warming Methane is fairly common gas found in nature. It is produced from both natural elements of the biomass cycle and artificial industrial sources. Methane is classified as a greenhouse gas and is believed to contribute to global warming. Methane (CH4) is a problematic greenhouse gas for a variety of reasons. First, it has a long life once it is in the atmosphere, to wit, it will remain suspended in the upper atmosphere anywhere from nine to 15 years depending on climatic conditions. Second, methane is much more lethal when it comes to trapping heat in the atmosphere, being as much as 20 times better at doing the job than the much discussed carbon dioxide. The unique chemical makeup of Methane is what makes it a problem. Once it...

The Myths on Global Warming Exposed!

Image
By Nathalie Fiset Today, everybody lives on a planet that has been battered by careless generations of the past. And we are still contributing to the earth's eventual loss. There are so many factors that could cause the planet's demise. Water, air, land pollution, also, global warming. Global warming is defined as the increase in Earth's temperature (on both its bodies of water and atmosphere). Scientists have also projected a continuance on the temperature increase. Most people believe that global warming has occurred because of many, harmful human activities. Partly, of course, it is true. But let us try to look at all the other factors that lead to this catastrophe - well, before you start to panic or fuss about being toasted alive. Know first, that most of them are myths! The National Center for Policy Analysis in the United States has contested the common myth that humans are the primary cause of global warming. According to them, there is no known scientific consensu...

The Effect of Global Warming on Hurricanes

Image
By Rich Johnson Global Warming is a term denoting a gradual warming of the Earths average temperature. The term has become synonymous to the Earths warming exclusively due to man-made effects, especially carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide concentrations have increased from 300 parts per million to 384 parts per million since 1900, with the most accelerated increase during the past 40 years. Some scientists have drawn the conclusion that the increase in the Earths average temperature (about 1°F since 1975) is essentially solely based on man-made activities such as the burning of fossil fuels, biomass burning, and deforestation Causes of Global Warming The Earths atmosphere is made up of different gases. Nitrogen makes up 78% of the total composition, Oxygen 21%, Argon 1% and traces gases .1%. Carbon dioxide makes up most of the volume of the rare gases. Water vapor varies from almost 0% over the deserts to 4% over the oceans. Water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, and nitrous oxide ar...

Go Green and Stop Global Warming and the Greenhouse Effect

Image
By Acline Wyle Global warming and the greenhouse effect are becoming bigger and bigger issues due to the increase in extreme weather over the past few years . The best way to stop these two phenomena is by making more eco friendly and energy efficient decisions in our lives. What Causes These Problems and How Do We Fix It? The greenhouse effect occurs when Earth's atmosphere traps solar radiation, which is caused by atmospheric gases that build up due to air pollution. Global warming is the gradual increase in Earth's surface temperature, and it is responsible for the melting of the polar ice caps. Global warming is caused by the greenhouse effect, so solving one problem would solve the other. The devastating climate changes that have been caused by global warming are slowly but surely getting worse and more extreme. If nothing is done to make it stop, things are going to spiral out of control and humanity will be at risk. Although the task at hand may seem daunting, it really ...

Global Warming - Starting Over Again With the Spiritual Solution

Image
By Jason Witt The Time has come to accept global warming is coming and it marks the End of the Age . Climate change can be slowed down but it's not going to be stopped. And right now almost nothing is being done to delay its onset. However, this outer End is your inner Beginning. Because now is the Time of the Return of Jesus. Many people who call themselves Christian are out there preaching that we're living in the End-Times. But almost none of them have accepted what Jesus said about the Last Days. He described His Return as happening during the summer. He told the simple Parable of the Sprig of the Fig Tree: when it buds you can tell that the summer is near. Few who bill themselves prophets have cared for the Words of Jesus Himself. And the rest who do see global warming arriving tend to think it can be stopped. But there already aren't too many more chances to do anything about it, at least according to the climate scientists. Those experts aren't conservative Chris...

Global Warming is Caused by Both Man and Nature

Image
By Cheryl Forbes It will take all of us to make a significant impact in the world against global warming. The earth is in trouble because of the pollution that we may have caused. It would seem that we are apathetic to the earth's plea for help. Every natural disaster that is happening to the world, to us, is caused by us. We may have caused it directly or indirectly. One of the more significant effects of the damage that we have caused this planet is global warming. We may have been feeling how it is a little warmer, how the seasons are all in disarray. It is cold when it should have been hot and it is hot when it should have been cold. Typhoons are also stronger than ever before, aside from the fact that it is more frequent. And haven't you noticed how a little rain could cause floods? Don't you find that weird? Well, these are all the effects of global warming and we should be alarmed by it. That is why natural and environmental causes such as the earth day should be sup...
